St. Margaret's Mission & Vision
St. Margaret's Episcopal Church
We are actively living out our faith
by continually fostering a closer relationship with Christ
and others as we seek and share God's unconditional love....
Walking the walk.
Walking the Walk means living out our baptismal vows and making a difference in the world:
- We welcome all to join us in worship and ministry.
- We respect the dignity and unique gifts of every human being.
- We seek and serve Christ in all people, loving our neighbors as ourselves.
- We desire to grow as a community of God’s people by reaching out to others.
- We strive for justice and peace among all people.
- We desire to be active in the world as witnesses of God’s love.
- We pledge ourselves to compassion and service, supporting one another in local, national, and international ministries.
WALKING THE WALK…
COMMUNITY: Sharing Christ’s love and living out in our community with dignity, respect, inclusivity, and justice and ensuring St. Margaret’s maintains a strong financial and administrative infrastructure that allows us to share our abundant gifts with all God’s family.
SERVICE: Proclaiming by word and example the good news of God in Christ through caring fellowship, supportive outreach, festive gatherings, warm welcome to all, active participation in Diocese events, and joyful celebration of our gifts, talents and experiences.
YOUTH and CHILDREN: Engaging with the young people who are a vibrant part of our parish life and cultivating their desire to learn the Bible’s teaching and encouraging their excitement as they begin their lifelong walk with Jesus Christ.
WORSHIP: Celebrating joyously and proclaiming boldly Christ’s good news of God’s redeeming love whose spirit empowers us to live faithfully in all we do.
More about St. Margaret's Episcopal Church
Our faith community was established in 1963 and reorganized in 2007. It is the only Episcopal Church in Eastern Prince William County.
We are part of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America and a part of the world wide Anglican communion – that fellowship of churches having a common heritage in the Church of England and in communion with the Archbishop of Canterbury.
St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church is a church that welcomes everyone – where you can call it home, use your talents, and encounter Christ in your worship so that you can also see Christ in your daily life.
Through holy scripture, prayers, songs, Holy Communion, education, service projects, and fellowship we grow in our love and understanding of God, our relationship with Jesus Christ and our life in the Kingdom of God.
There are many opportunities for involvement here at St. Margaret’s, both as a way of getting to know people and a way of sharing your special talents and interests. We invite you to participate at the level that is appropriate for you.
