Marylou’s Readers Program

Marylou’s readers program

Collect and donate money so disadvantaged students can purchase books during school Book Fairs. We support King ES (our community school) and Vaughan ES (Woodbridge).

FALL BOOK FAIR

You're Making a Difference!

61 students at Vaughan ES (Woodbridge) were able to purchase a book during the Fall Book Fair. To date, the Marylou's Readers Program has purchased 1,233 books which were selected by financially disadvantaged students during a Fall or Spring Book Fair.

Thank you, St. Margaret's, for your continued support of this program.

School Volunteer Program

School Volunteer Program

Support King and Vaughan Elementary Schools with classroom and library assistance, tutoring, and / or book fairs. Help to organize a teacher appreciation brunch for King ES.

King Elementary School (our community school) is in need of additional volunteers to help in the classroom, office, library or on special occasions like picture day or the Fall or Spring Book Fairs. Whether you have an hour every now and then or would be available on a regular basis, any help would be greatly appreciated.

A Volunteer Breakfast was held on September 20th in the King ES library. This event and call for volunteers was another success. We have gained 2 new volunteers, that makes 5 of us at King!

Can't do it without you!

Blessings,

Suzanne

Annual School Supply Drive

Annual School Supply Drive

Collect requested supplies for King Elementary and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

During the 2022 calendar year, St. Margaret’s continued our tradition of collecting school supplies from July 17 – August 14.

Several boxes and bags containing crayons, composition notebooks, folders and other traditional supplies were delivered to MLK (our neighborhood school) and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church (collecting for Kilby Elementary).  Our collection box behind the last pew in the sanctuary was filled to overflowing

Because of your generosity, this year’s School Supply Drive was a resounding success.  You also provided MLK’s nurse’s office with much needed underwear and socks.

In addition, monetary donations totaling $435 was collected, which will be disbursed as: King, our community school, will receive $261 dollars; St. Paul’s will receive $174 (to be donated to Kilby Elementary.)

Thank you and bless you, Outreach Ministry Team

Thank you so much for your donations. We set up tables for Meet & Greet and our students will be so excited to receive these new supplies.
